minimarks lets you share collections with others in just a few clicks. You can share collections with your team and with other users as well.
Team members inherit your plan benefits, and you can easily share collections with them repeatedly without having to re-enter their email addresses each time. Please see below for instructions on adding a team member and sharing a collection with them.
You can also share collections with other users (even if they're not on your team). Please see our step-by-step instructions below.
How to add a team member
Here's how you can add a team member.
First, click on your user icon on the top right corner of the page.
Next, select Team from the drop-down menu.
Enter the email address of the team member you wish to add to your account and click Save.
This step will invite the user to join your team. Please note that they will need to accept the invite before you can share collections with them.
If they don't have a minimarks account, we'll ask them to create one first.
Once your team member has joined minimarks and accepted your invite, it's time to start sharing collections!
How to share a collection
From your dashboard, click on the name of a collection you wish to share.
A drop-down menu will appear. Click Share to bring up the sharing modal.
Next, find the team member you wish to share the collection with and click Share next to their username.
On this screen, you can decide whether or not to allow them to edit the collection. If you allow editing, your team member can add, edit, sort, and delete bookmarks in the collection. If you don't want this, leave this box unchecked. The team member will only be able to view and open bookmarks.
Click Confirm to finish sharing the collection.
You can tell when a collection is shared because its members will be listed next to the collection title. Also, you can add and remove members as needed by clicking on them.
How to share a collection with someone outside your team
minimarks lets you share individual collections with anyone, not just team members. To do this, click on the name of a collection and select Share.
Next, click share with another user.
Here, you can enter the user's registered email address and click Share.
Please note that the user needs to have an account with us. You will not be able to share the collection until they sign up.
An email notification will be sent to the user, letting them know that you're now sharing a collection with them. Since they're not on your team, they will not inherit your plan benefits, but you can share as many collections with them as you wish.
